Dr. Riffe was raised in Lombard, Illinois a western suburb of Chicago. Her senior of high school the family moved to Iowa where she graduated from Davenport West High School. The family again moved to Dallas, Texas where she attended Richland Community College until deciding to major in pharmacy.

Dr. Harris was born and raised in Gibson County attending Gibson County Schools at Rutherford from Kindergarten through eighth grade and completing high school at Gibson County High School. His interest in becoming a podiatrist was sparked by Dr. Kathryn Riffe when he came to her as a patient while still in high school.
